Roxanne looked up from the rolling hospital bed she was layed out across, smiling up at Megamind as she held his hand. He was crying, trying desperately not to, but failing to stop. She smiled.
"I'll be fine, Megs," Roxanne told him, giving his hand a small squeeze. "It's just a heart transplant. I'll be in and out before you even know it." Megamind nodded, but he still looked so forlorn that it nearly ripped her heart out right then. A doctor came over.
"Are you ready, Roxanne?" Roxanne nodded and looked to Megamind.
"I love you, Blue, see you soon."
"I love you, too, Roxanne," he said softly, smiling wanly and leaning down to give her a kiss before she was rolled off to the surgery room. He watched her go before a nurse came to his side and set a hand on his shoulder.
"Come on, Megamind. It's time to get going." Megamind nodded, glancing one last time at the doors Roxanne had dissappeared through before following the nurse out into the waiting room.
Roxanne blinked her eyes open and looked around. "How are you feeling?" a nurse asked, coming to stand by her bed.
"Great," Roxanne answered truthfully, though she looked a little perplexed. "Have you seen Megamind? He promised he'd be here when I woke up." The nurse looked a little surprised, and a sympathetic look stole over her face as she gazed at Roxanne.
"They didn't tell you whose heart you were getting, did they?"
"Why?" Roxanne asked, suddenly worried. "It wasn't someone he knew, was it?" The nurse gave her the same sad look and reached into a pocket on her dress, pulling out a folded sheet of paper and handing it to the news reporter.
"He wanted me to give this to you," she said simply before walking away. Roxanne carefully unfolded the sheet of paper before beginning to read. Her hand flew to her mouth and tears formed in her eyes, a small, choked sound issuing from her throat as she read only the very first line.
Hey Roxanne, you remember that time I said my heart would always belong to you?...

Never Seen Her Cry
"Minion!" Megamind yelled.
"Coming!" Minion cried racing to his master and best friend. He found his master loitering above his work table with a pencil in hand and paper on the table. "What can I do for you, Sir?" the fish asked cheerfully.
"Tell me what you think?" Megamind said as he raised his design so that Minion could see it. "It's my new design for the city's firefighters!" he said happily.
"That's great, Sir!" Minion said back just as happy, although he had know idea what it was or how it worked. He was happy because Megamind was happy.

Thank You
Megamind sighed. Life was getting far more difficult than he had ever anticipated. As he walked across the green grass in Metro City Park he sighed again when he heard the people scream out of terror and run away. He didn't really care at the moment that he was being seen, in all his blue awesomeness, in public, and not doing the 'acting evil' thing. He was to depressed and confused to care. He looked up at where his feet were guiding him and noticed that he had ended up on the playground. He couldn't help, but smile at the memory of his first time on a swing. It was the only time he had ever been happy on a playground. He w

Thank you Ch. 2
"Are you alright, sir? You seem distracted today." Minion commented when he walked into Megamind's work space.
Megamind looked up at his fish friend "Mmm? Oh yes, yes I'm fine Minion." he told him looking back to his work.
Minion raised an eyebrow not buying a word of it. "Then why are you letting the Brain-bots chew on your cape?" he asked suspiciously.
"GAAH!" Megamind cried retracting his cape from the bots. "No! No chewing on daddy's cape!" he said scolding them. They barked then zoomed off.
"Is there something on your mind, sir?" Minion asked wa

This is a little one shot that stole over me a while ago, inspired by a thing I read (I THINK on facebook) that's somewhat similar. Roxanne needs a heart transplant, for whatever reason, and....You can see the rest. <:-P
